THE FORGOTTON HALL OF FAME | EMILY FORGOT








Not content with having recently designed and launched from scratch her new blog for the aesthetically curious Muse & Maker, London based graphic artist Emily Forgot has been working on a new personal series which will be initially exhibited tonight at a fine dining event at The Aviator Hotel - housed on an airfield for private planes of all places.

A combination of 1920's portraits and geometric surrealism, the new series Forgotten Hall of Fame encapsulates the sense of the curious Emily has become so well known for (a prime example being her windows for Selfridges).

The entire series to date is now available online as limited edition prints in various sizes from The Forgotten Hall of Fame tumblr site. Over the coming months the series will grow to include larger works and originals with plans to exhibit in London.

MUSE & MAKER | LAUNCHES

It's been a long time coming but finally the new blog from Emily Forgot, Muse & Maker, has landed! After building quite a following with her simple Blogger account she took it in her hands to develop and design from scratch a new platform finely tailored to her interests & daily finds on a more professional level. There'll also be a wealth of new content specially generated from interviews with a variety of artists, designers, and craftsmen.

"Muse & Maker is an eclectic directory curated by graphic artist Emily Forgot and a selection of like-minded guest contributers.

As well as sharing a collection of vintage finds, unique objects, surprising miscellanea and handpicked retailers, Muse & Maker also explores domestic interiors and documents a future renovation.

Posts with a broader editorial content will be posted regularly, these include Show & Tell a project where creative folk share a treasured possession and explain the story it has to tell and The Makers, which looks a little further into the people behind the wonderful things featured."
